Okay,Detroit. It's time to get our party ON! In addition to being an utterly gorgeous weekend (sunny and in the low 80's everyday) there are just tons of free music events in town all weekend. We do, let's not forget live in DETROIT ROCK CITY!

Vitamin "D" 8.30.07
There are some many great things going on in Detroit this weekend that I'm tempted to just give it all up now--
but I, instead, will keep you waiting a day or two. Oh sweet suspense!
Instead, Detroiter, do this.
Visualize yourself happy. Visualize your smile, your teeth, your laugh lines. Doesn't it feel good.
Visualize your job-that you love-that you already have-that pays you well.
Your house payment is made-easily. Look-now your smiling again.
Your kids are safe. They're smiling, too.
It's a beautiful day in "D" neighborhood.

Okay Detroit.
We do not have to believe our so called "bad press". What do they say? "There's no such thing as bad press"
Here's a couple of things I saw yesterday that should fill you with hope for the mighty "D".
First-There's a HUGE job fair at Macomb Cultural Center today (Hall Rd. in Clinton Twsp.) A new mall is opening and they need absolutly everyone to work in it. Hundred of jobs of every nature are available-everything from retail to restaurant to security. It's from 9a-2p TODAY so dress smart, grab a ton of resumes and GO GET 'EM TIGER!
Second-Our city is cool enough to have no just ONE cultural center-oh no! If you Google "Cultural Centers Metro Detroit" You get over two pages of indepent hits.
So-Who's the hipster now? Detroit is-that's who.

That is to say, we are becomming a self-fofilling "train is crashing", "sky is falling" profecy.
Every seen/read "The Secret"? What we think about, we bring about.
So....Detroit...
We are employed-
We are insured-
We are making our house payments on time-
We are safe-
We a secure-
and...

THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT! YOU ARE FROM THE "D"! YOU CAN MAKE ANYTHING HAPPEN!
